The New York State Department of Transportation announced that Route 9A will be closed in both directions between North State Road and Route 134 in Ossining and Briarcliff Manor.
The closure is expected to last from approximately 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, and motorists can expect delays in the area during the construction work. A detour is expected to be posted and there will be flaggers in the area to assist with the flow of traffic.
According to NYSDOT, “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.”
